CRICS GOVERNANCE

COUNCIL OF THE GOVERNMENT BODY OF CRICS, RESPONSIBLE FOR OVERSEEING THE STRATEGIC MISSION, DIRECTION AND AFFAIRS OF THE INSTITUTION. MADE UP OF 7 MEMBERS (5 OF WHOM ARE EXTERNAL), COUNCIL MEETS SIX TIMES PER YEAR AND SITS AT THE PINNACLE OF CRICS’S CORPORATE GOVERNANCE FRAMEWORK. IN ORDER TO UNDERTAKE ITS DUTIES EFFECTIVELY COUNCIL DELEGATES DECISION-MAKING IN DESIGNATED AREAS OF CRICS ACTIVITIES TO A SUITE OF SUB-COMMITTEES, INCLUDING SYLLABUS, FINANCE COMMITTEE, AUDIT AND RISK COMMITTEE, GOVERNANCE COMMITTEE AND REMUNERATION COMMITTEE.

THE PRESIDENT, SECRETARY AND TREASURER ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ORGANISING EVENTS, SEMINARS, WORKSHOPS, CONSTRUCTING A SUBCOMMITTEE AND OVERSEEING THE CHANGE OF BANK DETAILS TO THE INCOMING COMMITTEE EACH YEAR. TWO OUT OF THE THREE COMMITTEE MEMBERS ARE REQUIRED FOR A DECISION, SUCH AS PURCHASING ITEMS.
